My Photo Journey..

Have you ever known a child who was extremely shy and absolutely dreaded their photo being taken? Yep, that was me! I hid and ran from every camera while growing up, still to this day I have no idea why or where it came from. I never had a camera growing up, but I was immensely intrigued with disposable cameras, and the old Polaroid cameras where we waved the photo in the air to dry, thinking we were speeding up the development process, lol. I took a photography class in high school before pinhole cameras and the art of red-room development was lost. The one thing I am sure of is I have noticed art in everyday life, my entire life, taking mental photos of iconic random art everywhere I’ve lived and traveled. Capturing people in their most raw, real, and random elements is one of my very favorite things. My first camera came in the early 2000's in my early 20's, I've since then upgraded a few times. I still have so much to learn, and so much I want try, as my camera is my Never Never Land. My happy place where I capture and create art that most wont ever see. I believe once photography feels like work the art is lost. I've had so many people ask and suggest that turn my photography into a full time business, and perhaps one day I will, but not today. Why did I chose the name Random Life? Random: "occurring without definite aim, pattern, or reason." Life: "principle of existence conceived of as belonging to the soul."
